Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings have agreed on a four-year, $140 million contract extension, with $110 million guaranteed, making Jefferson the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Jefferson expressed his excitement in an Instagram video, referring to the deal as the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

Minnesota Vikings owners, Mark and Zygi Wilf expressed their delight, saying "(Jefferson) earned this contract, and we are thrilled he will remain a Minnesota Viking for a very long time." Vikings general manager, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, praised Jefferson's dedication and talent, both on and off the field. Adofo-Mensah referred to Jefferson as a cornerstone of the team and a representation of their culture.

Jefferson, who was selected by the Vikings with the 22nd overall pick in the 2020 draft, has had a stellar career with 392 receptions for 5,899 yards and 30 touchdowns. The 2022 Offensive Player of the Year, Jefferson has averaged 98.3 receiving yards per game -- the highest in NFL history for any career span. His average of 6.5 catches per game is the second highest of any receiver in his first four seasons.

Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell expressed his appreciation for Jefferson's positive impact on the team, saying "his positive energy and love for the game shows up every single day as he works to be the best at his craft."
