Minnesota Vikings' wide receiver, Justin Jefferson, has made quite the name for himself in the NFL. In just his third season, the LSU product has already achieved what many players can only dream of.
In 2022, Jefferson caught an impressive 128 passes for 1,809 yards and eight touchdowns, making him the NFL Offensive Player of the Year. But, what's even more astounding is that he's only 235 yards away from surpassing the all-time leading receiver of the rival Chicago Bears.
Johnny Morris, who played for the Bears from 1958-1967, is currently their all-time leading receiver with 5,059 receiving yards in 121 career games. However, in just 50 career regular-season games played for the Vikings, Justin Jefferson has already recorded 4,825 receiving yards.
It's not just the numbers, but the consistency that sets Jefferson apart. He's gone over 100 receiving yards in 24 out of those 50 games, and 585 of those yards came from six games against the Bears, along with 41 catches and two touchdowns.
But, Jefferson's accomplishments don't stop there. He also passed fellow Vikings legend Randy Moss in recording the most receiving yards in a player's first three seasons in NFL history. With all these achievements under his belt, it's no surprise that CBS Sports named him the No. 1 wide receiver entering 2023.
What's next for Justin Jefferson? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, he's already made a significant impact in the NFL, and the best is yet to come.
